About 3 years ago, Gra and I left behind the big city with its fast paced life and crowded spaces. We settled into a small country town gratefully breathing in its fresh country air and exhaling with sighs of relief as quietness settled into our hearts and spirits.
We soon adapted to the relaxed friendly smiles and greetings that we were encountering each day in our new community. We relished in the wide open spaces, the courteous Texas drivers and the starry filled evening skies!
“We’re home!” We claimed it! “This is our little corner of the world!”
We soon, began to make friends and that’s when someone very special came into my life! A true godsend! Jeannie and I met (I know this won’t surprise y’all) in an antique store!
As our friendship grew, so did our lists of likes and similarities! We both heartily agreed this couldn’t have been a mere coincidence, meeting each other was most certainly God’s providence!
Now, fast forward a couple of years, past all of mine and Jeannie’s delicious lunches out together…..past our estate and garage sale picking adventures…..past the annual community event that we attended…..and past the…..”Whoa there Nellie!” Pause here, for just a sec! This was a very special event, at such an elegant venue that it could’ve easily given “The Ritz” a run for its money! Jeannie hosted this posh, English style, “Afternoon Tea,” in a beautiful old stately mansion! The awe of the chandelier (could’ve been mine but that’s another story) in the entry, the beautiful green uranium glass dishes set out in the dining room, the dainty and delectable selections of nibbles. What an unforgettable day that was!
Ok, we’re nearly there! Fast forward just a bit more….and stop! There we are, Jeannie and I, just a few days ago. We’re practically skipping into Ricochet Antiques, we’ve come to meet Leslie, the sweet owner and she is showing us to our new space! That’s right! Jeannie and I are filled with glee as we view OUR OWN LITTLE CORNER in the antique world!!
Jeannie and I out for one of our nice lunches!
The day we started setting up our booth!
Standing in Ricochet, our booth space just behind us!
Here it is friends! Jeannie and Kimberley’s little corner at Ricochet Antiques! It’s official! Come on in and check out our booth, it’s chock-full of goodies!
